“0.2% difference…” Dramas starring Jeon Do Yeon and Lee Bo Young, the ratings battle is really fierce

tvN and JTBC’s weekend dramas “Crash Course in Romance” and “Agency” are both showing success with ratings exceeding 10%.

On Jan 14th, tvN’s drama “Crash Course in Romance” starring Jung Kyung Ho and Jeon Do Yeon started with a rating of 4.0% (nationwide, provided by Nielsen Korea). It set its own record with a rating of 11.8% in episode 8, which aired on Feb 5th.

JTBC’s drama “Agency” started with a rating of 4.8% in the first episode on Jan 7th and recorded the highest rating of 12% in episode 8 on Jan 29th. Episode 10, which aired on Feb 5th, recorded 11.6%.

tvN’s drama “Crash Course in Romance” follows the bittersweet relationship between Nam Haeng Seon (Jeon Do Yeon), a banchan shop owner who belatedly enters the war of Korea’s college entrance exams, and Choi Chi Yeol (Jung Kyung Ho), a top hagwon instructor. It airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9:10 PM.

JTBC’s drama “Agency” follows the story of Go Ah In (Lee Bo Young), who becomes the first female executive member of a large advertising agency. It airs every Saturday and Sunday at 10:30 PM.

“Crash Course in Romance” and “Agency” are both popular in terms of ratings as well as topicality. According to the “topicality in the first week of February” survey announced by the topicality research agency Good Data Corporation on Feb 9th, “Crash Course in Romance” and “Agency” ranked first and second side by side in the “drama topicality” category.

Jung Kyung Ho, Jeon Do Yeon and Lee Bo Young, the main actors of “Crash Course in Romance” and “Agency”, also ranked 1st~3rd in “drama cast topicality”.
