The same-sex relationship between Korean singer Dongho (former member of Apeace) and his boyfriend Zilong, who is 16 years younger, had drawn significant attention across Asian social media in recent months. However, on the morning of March 27, Koreaboo reported that the couple has officially broken up, bringing their brief three-month relationship to an end.

On the YouTube channel “Dongho Zilong”, Dongho uploaded a video confirming the breakup. In the clip, the former Apeace member shared that although their time together was short, it was deeply meaningful to him. He also sincerely asked viewers to refrain from leaving hurtful or insensitive comments, as he is still in the process of emotionally recovering from the breakup.
Notably, Dongho delivered a heartfelt message to his ex-boyfriend Zilong, describing him as a good person and expressing hope that they can remain friends even after going their separate ways. This has led many to believe that the breakup was mutual and peaceful, with no involvement of a third party.
In the same video, Dongho also announced that the YouTube channel “Dongho Zilong” will now transition into a personal vlog channel. Originally, the channel had been created to share moments from his relationship with Zilong.

The sudden breakup has sparked widespread discussion online, especially since the couple had only confirmed their relationship three months ago. Back in late December 2025, Dongho attracted attention by posting intimate photos with Zilong, including affectionate moments such as kisses and cute photobooth snapshots. He later shared videos documenting their relationship, including a clip of Zilong traveling from afar to confess his feelings, officially confirming their romance.

At the time, many fans congratulated Dongho on finding love. Now, however, the unexpected split has left many expressing disappointment and regret over the end of the relationship.
Dongho, born in 1985, entered the Korean entertainment industry at the age of 25 as a member of Apeace. The group experienced multiple lineup changes starting in 2014, but Dongho remained active until Apeace officially disbanded in 2021. In early 2025, he moved to Japan to continue his career, where the group had previously enjoyed strong popularity.
