Doja Cat faces a wave of boycott after showing a disrespectful attitude toward fans.
The three largest Doja Cat fan accounts including Doja HQ, The Kittens Room, and Doja Cat News have announced closed following Doja Cat’s disrespectful attitude toward her fans.
It started when Doja Cat said her fans should not name the fandom themselves and expressed deep resentment for the “Kittens” that Doja’s fans are using.
She said, “My fans don’t get to name themselves s**t. If you call yourself a ‘kitten’ or f**king ‘kittenz’ that means you need to get off your phone and get a job and help your parents with the house.”
Many netizens found her to be too aggressive and offensive to her fans. On another occasion, when a fan expressed that they wanted to hear her say she loved her fans, Doja appeared annoyed and said, “I don’t though cuz I don’t even know y’all.”
Fans were surprised by her response. One fan said that entertainers would be “nothing” without fans’ support. Nonetheless, Doja maintained her position, saying, “Nobody forced you Idk why you’re talking to me like you’re my mother b**ch you sound like a crazy person.”
Doja Cat’s actions and words provoke not only her fans but also music lovers in general. They belive Doja is “too high on fame” following the 2020 hit song “Say So.” The boycott from her fans is going so strong that the “Kiss Me More” singer had to delete her comments on social media.
