Do Kyung Soo, “It was very hot wearing the spacesuit. The staff turned on the air conditioner for me even during winter shoots”

Do Kyung Soo expressed his gratitude towards the staff for taking care of him during the filming of “The Moon”.

On the morning of June 27th, the production briefing session for the new movie “The Moon” was held at CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. The cast, including Seol Kyung Gu, Do Kyung Soo (EXO D.O.), Kim Hee Ae and director Kim Yong Hwa attended the event hosted by broadcaster Park Kyung Rim.

Do Kyung Soo plays the role of Sun Woo, a South Korean astronaut who is left alone on the Moon. In order to portray this character, the actor reportedly had to wear a thick spacesuit all the time. Revealing that the staff showed great consideration for him during the filming, Do Kyung Soo said, “For someone like me who had to portray intense emotions while doing solo shoots, they took care of me by showing me an edited compilation of the situations on Earth.”

He added, “What surprised me the most was that even during the shoots that took place in winter, the staff turned on the air conditioner for me because it was very hot wearing the thick spacesuit all the time. In summer, they always made sure to provide a comfortable atmosphere that was cool to the point where I had to wear long sleeves. I could feel the staff’s warm consideration throughout the process.”

“The Moon” is a film about the struggles of Sun Woo, a space crew member who was isolated on the moon due to an accident, and Jae Guk, the former head of the space center who desperately tries to save Sun Woo.

Meanwhile, “The Moon” will premiere on August 2nd.
