Dispatch Looked Back At Lee Sun-kyun’s 71 Days As Suspect And 105 Days As Blackmail Victim
During investigation, Lee Sun-kyun did his best to get rid of drug charges. He faithfully engaged in the police’s search and seizure of evidence, forensic tests and three rounds of investigations. On Sept. 22, 2023, Kim received 300 million won from Lee Sun-kyun. She was supposed to give the hacker 50 million won, but didn’t. Lee Sun-kyun’s side contacted Kim she said, “The hacker is not a threat. She doesn’t seem to have any special data.” Eventually, Kim took away 300 million won and Park 50 million won.
The police used Kim’s words as the driving force of the investigation. In fact, that was all they had. However, the police allowed the spread of statements such as “GD stumbled when he came out to the bathroom” and “Lee Sun-kyun inhaled drugs as sleeping pills with a straw.”
Lee Sun-kyun is both a drug use suspect and a victim of a blackmail case. He lived as a suspect for 71 days. On December 27, 2023, Lee Sun-kyun passed away.
