Dior announces price increase after making huge profits thanks to the contribution of Global Ambassador Jisoo

French luxury brand Christian Dior is expected to raise the price of major handbags early next month. This is the second time Dior has raised the price this year since January. 

Because of changes in the global environment, raw materials and accessories are becoming more and more expensive, which is why brands keep raising their prices. Some argue that this is not entirely true because Dior continues to make enormous profits in Korea despite the Covid-19 outbreak. In comparison to 2020, Dior’s income increased by 86.8% to 613.9 billion KRW last year. In the same timespan, its profit increased by double, from 104.6 billion KRW to 211.5 billion KRW.

Dior’s increase in profit is attributed to the great contribution of Global Ambassador Jisoo, who is famous among women in their 20s~30s, and marketing and communication activities.
