After announcing NewJeans Haerin as their house ambassador, the luxury design house suddenly deleted their statement.
Previously on April 26th, the magazine WWD published an exclusive report that NewJeans Haerin has become an ambassador for the luxury brand Dior, completing NewJeans’ “luxury ambassador streak”.
On the same day, the official Instagram account of NewJeans also published the same information, announcing Haerin as “Dior’s Newest Jewelry Global Ambassador & Fashion, Beauty House Ambassador”.
Afterwards, the official Twitter of Dior itself confirmed the news. However, instead of listing Haerin as the Global Ambassador for Jewelry and House Ambassador for Fashion and Beauty, the designer house announced the NewJeans member as their house ambassador for all 3 segments.
“This is an opportunity to celebrate the privileged ties binding more than ever the NewJeans singer and Dior. Between elegance and audacity, a unique friendship in the name of creativity”, Dior also wrote at the time.
However, as of 10:00 PM (KST) on April 28th, Dior’s ambassador announcement of NewJeans Haerin has vanished without a trace, raising questions.
While some netizens express worries that Dior might have retracted Haerin’s title, others maintain that since the post on NewJeans’ Instagram remains the same, Haerin is still an ambassador.
At the same time, some speculate that Dior deleted the post due to it having different information on the one on NewJeans’ Instagram. The true reason, however, remains unclear.
