Media sites recently reported that BTS RM won the poll for TC Candler’s “The Most Handsome Faces of 2022”, surpassing Henry Cavill, but this may not be true.
Recently on the SNS platform Twitter and media sites like Marca and The Daily Star, news about TC Candler’s result of “The Most Handsome Faces of 2022”, started to spread.
According to those reports, Kim Nam Joon, or BTS RM, took the top spot on the list, defeating Hollywood star Henry Cavill to become the most handsome man. However, the official Twitter account of TC Candler recently issued a statement, claiming that results spreading across the net were mere misinformation.
The full statement from TC Candler is as follows:
“For those who have been asking and spreading the meme… No, we have not released the 2022 Lists yet. We only ever release the Top 100 lists in late December.
As much as we like both BTS RM (Kim Nam Joon) and Henry Cavill, neither of them has ever been crowned the winner or ever been in the Top 5.
Nothing has been decided in 2022 and nothing will be until we hold a vote in December.

Previously, when news that BTS RM defeated Henry Cavill as the most handsome man started to spread, the male idol was drowned in insults and harsh comments. Several netizens even compare RM to an ugly dog drawing and Henry Cavill as a pretty one, and such meme quickly went viral on various platforms. As a result, BTS fans had no choice but to demand an official statement from TC Candler.
TC Candler is known for holding visual rankings for celebrities all around the world. Their results are decided via votes, and BTS RM is a nomination for “The Most Handsome Faces of 2022”. In 2021, fellow BTS members V and Jungkook, came in 3rd and 5th on this list, respectively.
