The K-drama actor Lee Jung Shin drew great attention despite barely appearing in “Shooting Stars”.
As the newly-released K-drama “Shooting Stars” revolves around the lives of people within the entertainment industry, the visuals of the cast is simply insane. Alongside the leading couple Lee Sung Kyung and Kim Young Dae, viewers also receive visual shocks from supporting actors like Yoon Joo Hoon, Shin Hyun Seung, and especially the dashing Lee Jung Shin. In the series, Jung Shin transforms into Do Soo Hyuk, a lawyer that works for Star Force Entertainment.
However, Lee Jung Shin barely appears in the series at all, and while his screen time increased a little in episode 4, the audience are still demanding for more. In fact, they find his chemistry with the female lead even more convincing than the main couple, and quickly attain the ever-present second lead syndrome.
According to viewers of the series, Lee Jung Shin can portray naturally his character’s progression from indifference to love. In addition, the actor’s expressions are also super convincing and his cute smile can rival even the sun, which are huge bonuses.
Born in 1991, Lee Jung Shin is mostly unfamiliar to K-drama lovers. However, older Kpop fans may remember the actor’s name – having seen him singing and playing the bass as a member of rock band CNBlue. With a sunshine smile, handsome face, and outstanding physique, the basser may not be as big as the main vocalist Jung Yong Hwa, but he is still dearly loved by a huge number of people.
While Jung Shin doesn’t have much experience in the acting world, he has earned some noticeable achievements, including a “Best New Actor” award from his role in the hit sitcom “Seoyoung, My Daughter”. The idol-actor has also appeared in several other works like “Longing Heart”, “Summer Guys”, “My First Love”, and “Cinderella with Four Knights”.
To see more of Lee Jung Shin, watch “Shooting Stars” on tvN at 22:40 KST every Friday and Saturday.
