According to reports on February 6, Young K recently began filming for the program and made a surprise appearance during the recording session earlier that morning. His first episode as a regular cast member is scheduled to air on February 28.

Over the past eight years, the show has gained widespread popularity for combining hit songs, celebrity guest appearances, and regional cuisine. The program celebrated its 400th episode in January, reflecting its long-standing success and strong viewer support.
Young K joins an established lineup that includes comedian Shin Dong-yup, Moon Se-yoon, broadcaster Boom, and several other regular cast members. Fans are particularly excited to see the chemistry he will build with the existing cast. Known among fans by nicknames such as big eater cat and food lover fox, Young K is also expected to showcase his hearty appetite on the show.
Young K debuted in 2015 as the vocalist and bassist of DAY6, a band under JYP Entertainment. He is widely recognized as a talented singer-songwriter, having written and composed many of the group’s signature hits, including You Were Beautiful, Time of Our Life, Welcome to the Show, and HAPPY. He currently holds 218 copyrighted songs and became a full member of the Korea Music Copyright Association in 2026.
This marks Young K’s first time appearing as a fixed cast member on a long-running weekend primetime variety show. Previously, he served as a judge on Mnet’s VS in 2023 and JTBC’s Girls on Fire in 2024. He also appeared in ENA’s variety program Our Village Dung Puppy in March last year.
