While he is rumored to be dating Hyuna again after their official breakup, Dawn has joined hands with the duo GroovyRoom.
Label AREA, founded by the producing duo GroovyRoom, said on their official SNS on January 30th, “We are happy to introduce Dawn as the first new member of the family in 2023. Dawn is an artist that we’ve always seen as cool. We will actively support his activities so that his potential artistry and passion for music will be exercised as much as possible.”
Dawn also expressed his aspirations, saying, “I’m excited to be with GroovyRoom at AREA. It’s reassuring to have a deep consensus on where to go as an artist. I want to expand my music activities. Please look forward to my music that will be released in the future.”
Dawn debuted as a member of PENTAGON in 2016. After leaving the group, he has released multiple songs such as “MONEY”, “DAWNDIDIDAWN”, and “1+1=1”, showing off his ability to write lyrics, compose and produce. He has been recognized for his excellent skills as an artist.
In August of last year, he announced the termination of his exclusive contract with P Nation. In November, his breakup with Hyuna was confirmed. They were dating for over six years. However, rumors of Dawn and Hyuna getting back together recently resurfaced. Their reps have not spoken up on this rumor, raising more curiosity.
