According to reports, Danielle recently created an account on Xiaohongshu, often referred to as China’s version of Instagram. Despite not uploading any posts yet, her account quickly surpassed 10,000 followers, highlighting the strong interest she continues to receive from Chinese fans.

It was also reported that Danielle’s older sister, singer Olivia Marsh, is following the account, further fueling speculation that the platform launch may be intentional rather than coincidental.

This development comes amid an ongoing legal dispute between Danielle and her former agency ADOR. On December 29, ADOR announced that it had notified Danielle of the termination of her exclusive contract, stating that it had become “difficult to continue the artist relationship.”

ADOR added that it plans to pursue legal responsibility against Danielle’s family member and former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin, claiming they bear significant responsibility for the dispute, the group’s departure, and delays in a potential return.

Following this, ADOR filed a lawsuit seeking approximately 43 billion KRW (around USD 32 million) in damages against Danielle, her family, and Min Hee-jin.

Earlier this month, on January 12, Danielle addressed fans directly through a live broadcast on her Instagram and YouTube channels. During the stream, she emphasized, “I fought until the very end to stay with the members.”

She continued, NewJeans will always have a place in my heart. Even if I’m in a slightly different position, I will continue to support them as one of the ‘Bunnies,’ with the same feelings.”

Danielle’s decision to open a Chinese SNS account has led to growing speculation that she may be preparing for activities targeting overseas markets, particularly China, where Korean idols often maintain strong fanbases despite domestic challenges.

As the legal battle continues and no official announcements have been made regarding her future plans, public attention remains focused on whether Danielle’s next chapter will unfold primarily outside South Korea.
