Daniel Henney’s side to take legal action against impersonations of the actor and false accounts on SNS

Actor Daniel Henney announced that he would take firm responses to the damages caused by SNS impersonation.

On October 19th, Daniel Henney’s agency Echo Global Group released on their official SNS account an official statement regarding the impersonations of actors’ and agency employees’ SNS accounts issue.

Echo Global Group stated, “Apart from Daniel Henney’s accounts on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook (@danielhenney), there are no other social media accounts that he is currently on. We would like to clarify that Daniel Henney does not have private or secret accounts on any social media platforms. Also, employees only operate on our official accounts with Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook”. 

The agency continued, “Daniel Henney and Echo Global Group will never ask for money or for you to provide any personal information. To fans, please beware of such incidents by impersonators and false accounts on social media. We hope that no one is negatively impacted by these events”, adding that they would take legal action against impersonations.

Recently, we’ve received reports of people impersonating and sending direct messages (DMs) claiming to be Daniel Henney and Echo Global Group employees. 

Apart from Daniel Henney’s accounts on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook (@danielhenney), there are no other social media accounts that he is currently on. We would like to clarify that Daniel Henney does not have private or secret accounts on any social media platforms. Also, employees only operate on our official accounts with Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.

In addition, Daniel Henney and Echo Global Group will never ask for money or for you to provide any personal information. To fans, please beware of such incidents by impersonators and false accounts on social media. We hope that no one is negatively impacted by these events.

We are currently monitoring and collecting evidence as we go through the data that has been sent to us regarding the impersonators and false accounts. Such impersonations are clear, criminal acts and in violation of the law. Legal action will be taken against such crimes.
