The members of the legendary group BIG BANG are arousing keen attention with their recent moves
Daesung will appear on the upcoming broadcast of MBC’s entertainment program “Hangout With Yoo” on October 21st through the new music project called ‘JS Entertainment’.
On October 14th, “Hangout With Yoo” released a preview for the JS Entertainment episode. In the preview, Yoo Jae-suk said, “There will be a lot of changes. The most important thing is that we need a main vocalist. I’m trying to find a hidden vocal”. Someone then appeared and Yoo Jae-suk introduced him, saying “He’s perfect, from entertainment to singing and dancing skills. I caught a big fish”.
According to insiders, Daesung will be the vocalist for JS Entertainment project on “Hangout With Yoo” and bring fresh fun to the program. This will be Daesung’s first appearance on a terrestrial entertainment program after 12 years and his reunion with Yoo Jae-suk 13 years after “Family Outing” ended.
In addition, Daesung will become the judge for the survival trot program “King of Active Singer”, scheduled to air in the second half of 2023. Regarding his comeback on TV after a long time, Daesung shared, “I’m looking forward to it and I will work with the mindset of giving as much help to people as possible”.
Apart from Daesung, T.O.P is also drawing attention with his comeback as an actor.
Overcoming the drug scandal in 2016, T.O.P announced his retirement but resumed activities with BIG BANG through the single “Still Life” in April last year. Later, T.O.P suddenly announced his departure from BIG BANG, then confirmed his appearance in Season 2 of Netflix’s series “Squid Game”. Despite the rumors that T.O.P would play a retired idol, Netflix and the production team still remained silent regarding the content of Season 2.
In May, T.O.P also heralded his participation in the space travel project “dearMoon” this year. However, the project is currently put on hold due to the delay in the development of Space X’s spacecraft starship.
Former member Seungrri is still receiving harsh criticism from the public. He was imprisoned for 1.5 years on various charges, including sexual crimes related to the Burning Sun Scandal, gambling and embezzlement, Seungri was released from prison on February 9th this year. However, he was recently embroiled in a two-timing controversy.
According to reports, Seungri introduced A as his girlfriend to his foreign friends and planned a trip to Bali in September. After A returned to Korea, he picked B up in Bali and enjoyed another trip. Since A and B are friends on SNS, they later found out that Seungri cheated on them and exposed him through the media.
In the meantime, BIG BANG’s leader G-Dragon is reportedly discussing his future career with a new company after his exclusive contract with YG Entertainment expired in June. There have been speculations that he has signed with Warner Music Records, but no official announcement has been released yet.
Lastly, Taeyang married actress Min Hyo-rin in 2018 and has a son. Making his solo comeback earlier this year, he has been constantly communicating with fán through SNS and doing dance challenges with various celebrities.
