‘‘D.P 2’ LGBT Deserter’ Actor Bae Na-ra Cast To Play Main Character In “Weak Hero 2”

Bae Na-ra continued to work hard as an actor with a new drama

According to an exclusive report by Star News on November 2nd, Bae Na-ra’s appearance in the upcoming drama “Weak Hero Class 2” has been confirmed.

Released through Wavve in November last year, “Weak Hero Class 1” depicts the story of weak boy Yeon Si-eun, who is the 1% model student, confronting numerous violent guys with his friends Su-ho and Beom-seok.

Rookie actors Park Ji-hoon, Choi Hyun-wook and Hong Kyung led the first season and received favorable responses from viewers. Last month, the drama won Best OTT Original at the International OTT Awards. At that time, “Weak Hero Class 1” producer confirmed the production of Season 2, saying “I met the audience at the Busan International Film Festival last year and gained a lot of energy. I think we were able to come this far thanks to that. With your enthusiastic cheers, we will work hard for the next story”.

In addition to Bae Na-ra, Ryeoun is also reviewing the offer to join the main cast of “Weak Hero 2”. Together with Park Ji-hoon, who successfully led Season 1, the three are expected to take on the main characters of Season 2.

Meanwhile, Bae Na-ra made his debut in a 2013 musical. After performing various musicals, he joined a boy group called T-BIRD in 2019 and released the album “Rock Star”.

He appeared on JTBC’s “Phantom Singer 3” in 2020 and impressed viewers with his performance as LGBT deserter Jang Seong-min (Nina) in Netflix series “D.P. 2”, which premiered in July. With this role, Bae Na-ra received compliments from “Hedwig” star John Cameron Mitchell.
