Current whereabouts of the actress who made it to the Cannes Film Festival at the age of 14 with the movie “Okja”
Actress Ahn Seo Hyun signed an exclusive contract with Jikim Entertainment, heralding a new leap forward.
On November 7th, Jikim Entertainment CEO said, “We are happy to be with actress Ahn Seo Hyun, who has a passionate passion for her acting, and form a good relationship with her.”
The CEO continued, “Ahn Seo Hyun is an actress whose future is highly anticipated thanks to her infinite growth potential. We will do our best to show her unique acting that she has, through various contents.”
In 2008, at the age of 5, Ahn Seo Hyun made her debut as an actress in the KBS drama “Love Marriage”, and has continued her acting activities step by step since then. She has now grown into an actress with a unique presence.
Ahn Seo Hyun started making her face known to more viewers through KBS2’s “Dream High” in 2011. At the time, she appeared as Go Hye Seong, the younger sister of Go Hye Mi (Suzy), and received much love for her cuteness with her big eyes and round face.
Since then, Ahn Seo Hyun has starred in various dramas and movies such as “Sweet Revenge”, “Okja”, “Monster”, “Heaven’s Garden”, “Dummy Mommy”, “The Housemaid”, etc.

In “Okja”, Ahn Seo Hyun played Mija, a girl who became a caretaker and friend with Okja, a giant animal born with a secret. She acted alongside Hollywood stars such as Tilda Swinton, Jake Gyllenhaal, Lily Collins and Paul Dano.
Through “Okja”, Ahn Seo Hyun was honored to be nominated for Best Actress at the 70th Cannes Film Festival. She was only 14 at the time.
In an interview with a media outlet, she shared her thoughts on being invited to Cannes. Ahn Seo Hyun said, “I was wondering if it was real that I was going to Cannes. It was hard to believe. My dream came true.”
She continued, “I sent a message to director Bong Joon Ho congratulating him on his advance to the Cannes International Film Festival, and he replied, ‘It’s a film that was made possible thanks to you.’ I got touched.”
Although she didn’t win the award at Cannes, Ahn Seo Hyun received the Next-Generation Star Award at the Macau International Film Festival, proving her true worth as an actor with her impressive performance.
Ahn Seo Hyun is meeting the audience through the recently released movie “Oh My Ghost”.
“Oh My Ghost” is a comedy horror movie about Taemin (Jung Jinwoon), a man who can see ghosts and Kongi, a built-in ghost who has nowhere to go, as they team up to fight a mysterious case for a studio shooter.
Ahn Seo Hyun transformed into the ghost Kongi and showed a fresh comedy performance, drawing the attention of the audience with her different charm.
Ahn Seo Hyun, who is loved for her lovely visuals, and acting filled with confidence and passion, has announced a new start with Jikim Entertainment. Thus, expectations are high on what kind of acting performance she will showcase in the future.
