Another rising star has emerged from the hit drama “Descendants of the Sun”. That’s actor Park Hoon, who played the role of Choi Woo Geun, a sniper of the Special Mission Battalion’s Alpha Team. It was actually his first time shooting a drama. Before then, he was active mainly in musicals, such as “Story of the Stolen Thief,” “The Judo Boy,” “Puzzle,” and “Triangle”.
Despite experience acting in a drama for the first time, Park Hoon left a deep impression on viewers by showing his tsundere charm as well as his side as a strong and loyal soldier.
Since then, he has appeared in various TV series, such as “Monster”, “Naked Fireman”, “Memories of the Alhambra”, “Nobody Knows”, etc. Especially, in SBS’s drama “Nobody Knows”, he received favorable reviews for his new image as a villain, which added more tension to the drama.

In the movie ”The Pirates: The Last Royal Treasure”, he transforms into a character who fights against pirates while aiming for an ultimate treasure, and captures the audience’s attention with his hair-raising and heavy charisma.
Also, the actor showed off his eye-catching presence in “Hansan: Rising Dragon”, where he played the brave and upright general Lee Woon Ryong, and in the movie “Confidential Assignment 2: International”, where he assumed the role of the sharp and charismatic North Korean mercenary Park Sang Wi.
“Hansan: Rising Dragon” ended up surpassing 7 million viewers, and through a scene where he went out to lure the Japanese fleet, Park Hoon impressed the audience and was showered in praise by them.
Proving his true value once again with an immersive performance, Park Hoon is to be appearing in the 2023 movie “Noryang”, which is directed by Kim Han Min.
At the same time, the actor has also announced his appearance in the SBS drama “Payback”, where he will be working with writer Kim Won Seok from “Descendants of the Sun”. In this drama, Park Hoon will transform into chief prosecutor Hwang Ki Seok, raising fans’ expectations.
On the other hand, the K-drama “Payback”, which will be starring Lee Sun Kyun, Moon Chae Won, Kang Yoo Seok, and Park Hoon, revolves around people who risk everything to fight a money cartel that colluded with the law. It is scheduled to be broadcast for the first time on January 6th, 2023 at 10 pm (KST).
