Crime thriller “Bad Relationship” casting lineup confirmed: From Shin Min-ah to Lee Kwang-soo

Park Hae-soo, Shin Min-ah, Lee Kwang-soo, Lee Hee-joon, Kim Sung-kyun and Gong Seung-yeon have been confirmed to star in Netflix’s series “Bad Relationship”

On Nov 9th, Netflix announced the production confirmation news of “Bad Relationship” and revealed the casting lineup. Based on the Kakao webtoon of the same name, “Bad Relationship” is a crime thriller that showcases the stories of people entangled in an unexpected evil relationship, and destroy each other as they pursue their own desires.

Park Hae-soo transforms into a character who, after witnessing a mysterious accident by chance, becomes involved in an irreversible deal. Despite the deal seeming to go smoothly as if nothing happened, the tension arises as his unexpected developments unfold due to conflicting desires. Shin Min-ah portrays a character who, carrying a lifelong trauma from a childhood incident, unexpectedly encounters a person she never wanted to meet again.

Lee Hee-joon takes on the role of a character who, in pursuit of a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, invests in coins, only to find himself deep in debt with negative returns. Kim Sung-kyun plays a character who loses his job unjustly and gets entangled in the web of “bad relationships” after receiving a lucrative offer.

Lee Kwang-soo plays a successful oriental doctor who runs a private clinic in Gangnam and enjoys a life of luxury with foreign cars and women. However, his life takes a drastic turn after a momentary accident. Gong Seung-yeon, portraying the girlfriend of Lee Kwang-soo’s character, adds richness to the drama with the charm of a femme fatale.

The script and direction for “Bad Relationship” are helmed by director Lee Il-hyung, known for the films “A Violent Prosecutor” and “Remember”. With a focus on the characters’ unique personalities and charms, director Lee Il-hyung, known for his ability to build stories around challenging missions, is set to keep global Netflix viewers on the edge of their seats.

In addition, the production involves the collaboration of Moonlight Film, known for films such as “Kundo: Age of the Rampant”, “A Violent Prosecutor”, “Money”, “The Spy Gone North” as well as Netflix’s series “Narco-Saints”. They are also joined by Baram Pictures, which produced Netflix’s series “Kingdom: Ashin of the North”, “Song of the Bandits” and dramas like “Behind Every Star” and “Castaway Diva”.
