On February 24, a new video titled “Actress-Level Beauty Management + How to Become Beautiful in Real Life” was uploaded to Way’s YouTube channel WayLand. In the video, Way shared her personal experiences across different areas of the entertainment industry.

“Not all celebrities are the same,” Way said. “I’ve worked as an idol, tried acting, and also been in the influencer industry. When you look at actresses who are considered ‘celebrities among celebrities,’ you wonder how they manage themselves to look that beautiful.”

She referenced comments comparing influencers and celebrities, saying she now understands what people mean. “It’s not that influencers are unattractive and celebrities are pretty,” she clarified.

Way explained that idols often benefit from strong makeup and various visual enhancements. “Idols can rely on heavy makeup and styling tools that help them look prettier hair accessories, outfits, lighting. There are also filters. Even dating reality shows these days use filters. Influencers basically always have filters on,” she said.

In contrast, she emphasized that actors are filmed much more realistically. “Actors are captured as they truly are. Lead actors nowadays can’t even wear heavy makeup. They also can’t just get plastic surgery whenever they want. Even small scars are visible. They’re people who look beautiful down to the smallest details,” she noted.

Way also discussed the difference between “good wrinkles” and “bad wrinkles.” “There are wrinkles that appear when you look pretty like when you smile with your eyes. Those are beautiful,” she said. “But there are wrinkles that make you look older, the kind people say can’t be fixed even with management. Under-eye fat, nasolabial folds that show even when you’re not smiling, and the worst is neck wrinkles.”

She further explained that facial expressions play a major role in distinguishing influencers from entertainers. “Actors and idols have a wide range of expressions they cry, laugh, wink. Influencers don’t usually need that. Someone might look pretty staying still, but once they start talking, the difference between real life and the screen becomes noticeable.”

In addition to discussing procedures and home care routines, Way shared practical beauty tips with subscribers. She stressed the importance of posture, preventing rounded shoulders and double chins, and strengthening back muscles to enhance one’s overall appearance.

Through her candid insights, Way offered a rare behind-the-scenes look at celebrity beauty management, shedding light on why some visuals go far beyond makeup and filters.
