Congratulatory money given by stars “Sandara Park 1 million won, Jo Se-ho 50,000 won”

Singer Sandara Park revealed that she used to give excessive amounts of money as wedding gifts

Sandara Park disclosed a story about giving a substantial amount of wedding gift money, even to acquaintances who were not close to her. On the Oct 6th broadcast of SBS PowerFM’s “Cultwo Show”, Sandara Park candidly shared her thoughts about wedding gift money.

She expressed that she still has concerns about wedding gift money, saying, “I don’t know the standards well. There were times when I ended up giving a lot, which led the newlyweds to contact me.” She explained that she did not know the proper amount to give, so she ended up giving 1 million won even when she was not very close to the person.

She shared, “I didn’t know it in Korea. When I went to wedding halls and funeral halls, I didn’t know, so I did that. I don’t do it that way these days. I’ve reduced it a lot. For acquaintances, I’ve reduced it by half. For really close staff members, I still do it that way.”

Sandara Park’s revelations about wedding gift money have garnered attention, but she is not the only celebrity with interesting stories related to it.

Broadcaster Jo Se-ho once confessed that he gave only 50,000 won of wedding congratulatory money at Yoo Jae-suk’s wedding. On an episode of KBS2’s “HK Coin”, Jo Se-ho chose the wedding gift of 50,000 won as the thing he felt most sorry about when it came to Yoo Jae-suk.

Jo Se-ho confessed, “It was the time when I had no income. I had a total of 130,000 won in my pocket. It was difficult for me to give 100,000 won, so I only gave 50,000 won (as congratulatory money for Yoo Jae-suk).

Yoo Jae-suk’s congratulatory money was also a topic of discussion. Last August, on “Pinggyego”, Jo Se-ho said, “I was the host at BIGBANG Taeyang’s wedding. Yoo Jae-suk asked me to give Taeyang 1 million won in congratulatory money on behalf of him because he couldn’t attend the wedding.”
