“Concrete Utopia” Park Bo Young “The audience who want to see a lot of lovey-dovey scenes may be disappointed”

Actress Park Bo Young shared her thoughts on acting as a married couple with actor Park Seo Joon.

On July 31st, the press and distribution preview of the movie “Concrete Utopia” was held at Lotte Cinema World Tower in Songpa-gu, Seoul. Director Um Tae Hwa, actors Lee Byung Hun, Park Seo Joon, Park Bo Young, Kim Sun Young, Park Ji Hu and Kim Do Yoon attended the event.

“Concrete Utopia” tells the story of earthquake survivors in “Imperial Palace Apartment” in Seoul. It is a new adaptation based on the second part “Pleasant Neighbor” of Kim Sung Nik’s popular webtoon “Pleasant Bullying”.

Lee Byung Hun plays Yeong Tak, the new resident representative who is willing to take any risks to protect the apartment from outsiders. Park Seo Joon transforms into Min Seong, who is dedicated to protecting the apartment and his family. Park Bo Young, who will show married couple chemistry with Park Seo Joon, takes on the role of Myeong Hwa, who never loses faith even in extreme situations.

First of all, Park Bo Young said, “I wanted to portray Myeong Hwa, but Park Bo Young kept popping out and it was hard to put my real self to sleep. However, I was able to finish it well thanks to director Um’s help.

Park Bo Young talked about her married couple acting with Park Seo Joon, “The audience who want to see a lot of lovey-dovey scenes may be disappointed, but I’m satisfied with showing a realistic married couple. If there’s a chance, I want to show you our chemistry through a lovey-dovey work in the future.”

“Concrete Utopia” will be released in theaters on August 9th.
