Former LOONA member Chuu is stepping into a new chapter of her career, officially confirmed as the female lead in the upcoming K-drama adaptation of the popular webtoon Wild Eyes (Gwang An). The project, produced by Kidari Studio, has already completed filming and is currently in post-production, signaling an imminent release.

In the series, Chuu will portray Eun Woo, a court lady entangled in a complex palace romance with Crown Prince Lee Hyun, played by Bang Sung Joon. Set against a historical backdrop, the drama blends political intrigue with emotional storytelling, promising a visually rich and character-driven narrative.

The original webtoon, however, is known for its mature tone and bold storytelling choices. The webtoon gained attention for its intense opening and unconventional approach to romance within a royal setting.

Despite the initial shock, a large portion of the fandom has rallied behind Chuu, praising her willingness to take on a challenging and transformative role. For many, this project represents a significant evolution from her bright idol image to a more nuanced acting career.

Industry watchers note that this casting could mark a turning point for Chuu, positioning her as a versatile performer capable of navigating complex characters and genres. As anticipation builds, audiences are eager to see how the drama will reinterpret the original story for television while balancing its mature themes with broader appeal.
