Chungha Explained Why She Got Korean History Certificate+Grandfather Is Independence Activist
Singer Chungha revealed why she had a Korean history certificate.
On March 16th, a video was uploaded on the YouTube channel “Ggondaehee” featuring singer Chungha as a guest.
The video shows Chungha having a talk with host Ggondaehee. “I watched you on TV and you look very different. You look worse on TV,” said Ggondaehee, and Chungha confessed, “That’s right. I hear that a lot.” The singer then explained that she might look mean and scary on TV because she wears makeup that suits the concept of her songs.
Regarding her Korean history certificate, Chungha shared, “I didn’t have the opportunity to learn the history of our country properly. I always thought that I should study the painful history of our country, and this could be an excuse, but I didn’t have time,” she said. “I moved to a new agency and started studying Korean history, which I had postponed before.” She also recalled her mistake on her radio show calling her grandfather a “person of national merit”, saying, “My grandfather is actually an independence activist.”
