Park Shin-hye and Choi Tae-joon will finally tie the knot after 4 years of dating. They will even have a double celebration of becoming parents at the same time as their wedding.
On Nov 23rd, Park Shin-hye and Choi Tae-joon‘s agencies announced in an official press release that they would hold a wedding on January 22nd, 2022. In addition, the couple also delivered the news of pregnancy and said, “A precious life has come in the process of us promising each other to be lifelong partners and preparing for our marriage. As she is still in the early stages which needs more stability, please understand that we are careful in telling the press about any additional detail.”
According to the agencies of both sides, the wedding will be held privately according to the will of the family.
The couple announced the news directly through their individual fancafé. Park Shin-hye said, “I’m really nervous about delivering this news to you. I’m also worried that you will be surprised by this sudden news, but I still want to tell you guys first. I’m going to marry the friend whom I have been dating for a long time.”
She then added, “I am hesitant to discuss this because it is still in the early stages, but a precious life came to us while we were preparing for our marriage. I would like to let you know more than anyone else. I promise to show you a good side of me even after forming my own family.”
Choi Tae-joon described Park Shin-hye as “a precious person that has shared various emotions with me for a long time”. He expressed his affection for her, “She is like a savior who silently reminds me of how to smile brightly when I am happy and how to cry out when I am sad.”
Choi Tae-joon also promised active activities as an actor, “I think you must have been surprised by the sudden news, but I am conveying my sincerity through this insufficient writing as I want to tell you first. From now on, I will greet you with my responsible aspect as a member of a family as well as my acting skills that can meet your expectations as actor Choi Tae-joon.”
From being senior and junior in the Department of Theater at Chung Ang University, the two developed into lovers. Park Shin-hye and Choi Tae-joon started dating at the end of 2017. The couple officially announced their romantic relationship in 2018 and has continued dating publicly since then. After dating silently, even during Choi Tae-joon’s military service period, the two finally had a fruitful result for their 4 years of dating.
Park Shin-hye debuted in 2003 in the music video of Lee Seung-hwan, then started acting as a child actor through SBS’s “Stairway to Heaven”.
