Choi Min Ho said his lips were covered with lip gloss after filming the kiss scene with Chae Soo Bin
Choi Min Ho shared how he worked on his character in “The Fabulous” and expressed his will to continue both his singer and actor careers.
Choi Min Ho shared various stories of him in an interview with Netflix’s original series “The Fabulous” (directed by Kim Jung Hyun) on the afternoon of Dec 27th.
“The Fabulous” is a romance drama about the dreams, love, and friendship of young people who have devoted their lives to the fashion world. Choi played the role of Ji Min, the main character with everything, including appearance, fashion sense, and ability, but lacks passion in what he is doing.
Choi Min Ho said, “We started filming before it got cold a year ago and film it for nearly five months. It has the perfect atmosphere for the year-end weather. I hope you spend the end of this year warmly while watching the drama.”
When asked, “How did SHINee members react?” Choi said with a smile, “I get a lot of questions like this, but they don’t usually watch what I do,” and added, “I used to be a little upset because of that, but now that we’ve been together for such a long time, it doesn’t matter. The members probably won’t contact me even if they saw my work,” he said.
He also mentioned the behind-the-scenes of his kiss scene with Chae Soo Bin, which has been a hot topic since the work was released.
“Actually, we filmed that scene for a long time while the lighting was dark. I didn’t know at the time, but since we filmed for more than 1 to 2 hours, I just thought we should take a break. So I walked to a brighter place. But I was surprised to see my face. The lip gloss that Chae Soo Bin used was all around my lips,” he said with a laugh.
After debuting as a group SHINee in 2008, Choi Min-ho began acting with KBS 2TV’s “Pianist” in 2010, and is one of the representative all-around idols who still maintains both his acting and singing career.
Choi Min Ho continued, “I have been active for a long time. I know that I have played mostly positive and passionate images. I also want to play a villain. In my next works, I want to take a wider spectrum. The reason why I filmed a lot of movies before joining the military was because I wanted to show my inner self with deeper acting,” he confessed.
Choi Min-ho, who has been busy in the later half of this year, said, “Next year is the 15th anniversary of SHINee’s debut. I’m preparing for a full album with the members. I’m really looking forward to my next work now, so I think next year will be a really busy year for me,” he said with a smile, hinting at his 2023 plan.
