On May 11, Choi Jun Hee revealed a restored video from her first birthday celebration that had been carefully kept by her grandmother for years.
The footage showed a young Choi Jun Hee being warmly embraced by her mother, Choi Jin Sil, who smiled brightly throughout the event, leaving viewers emotional.
Ahead of her wedding ceremony on May 16, Choi Jun Hee shared, “In the video, my mom smiles and says, ‘Thank you to everyone who came today. When our Sumin gets married later, we’ll invite all of you again, so please stay healthy for a long time.’”
She continued, “It felt so surreal and touching that the people who were there back then are now actually waiting for my wedding day.”
However, she also confessed, “The saddest part is that only my mom and dad are missing from all those moments,” further moving fans with her heartfelt words.
In the restored video, Choi Jin Sil thanked the guests who attended the celebration and said, “I hope everyone continues to show love and support until our Sumin grows up healthy and becomes a beautiful young lady.”
She then added with a bright smile, “I’ll remember everyone who came today and invite all of you again when our Sumin gets married.”
Choi Jun Hee also revealed that her family endured difficult times while preparing for the wedding due to various rumors and online speculation.
She shared, “There were so many rumors and gossip, so our whole family went through hard times during the wedding preparations. But I felt like this one video was enough. I think it contains all the love I grew up with and the emotions that shaped my life.”
Meanwhile, Choi Jun Hee is set to marry a non-celebrity man who is reportedly 11 years older than her on May 16. The couple is said to have built deep trust over nearly five years of dating.
