HOT: Choi Jong Hoon burst into tears when apologizing to Seungri

On April 29, Choi Jong Hoon (former member of F.T.Island) appeared as a witness in the last Burning Sun trial involving Seungri (former member of BIGBANG).  Here, Choi Jong Hoon even burst into tears and apologized to Seungri.

Before that, Seungri was charged with being involved in a gangster gang when the police investigated CCTV in Burning Sun.  Accordingly, the polices accused the former idol of calling the gangster to the bar, causing chaos in Seungri’s VIP room.  They also accused the former BIGBANG member of not just the gang affiliation, but also for inciting the aggravated assault utilizing the gang members.

Choi Jong Hoon had appeared at the scene so he stood as a witness to the incident.  During his initial interrogation, the former idol referred to the men who came to the altercation as “gangsters”. However, during the April 29 trial, he refuted his previous statements and confirmed that it was all his own assumptions.

While it is true that the two of them were calling for someone, Seungri and Yoo In Suk never used the term ‘gangster’. When they shared that they would call someone, I just assumed ‘gangster’ on my own. During my initial interrogation, the police also used the term ‘gangster’, so I used that term.

When the police announced that gang members also appeared at the scene of the chaos, he confirmed that he had no recollection of this.

The police told me that gang members were at the scene, but I wasn’t aware of their presence. I would remember if gangsters showed up. But I don’t recall them being there because it was just a normal drinking party.

Because Choi Jong Hoon’s testimony has become important evidence in accusing Seungri.  Therefore, Choi Jong Hoon sent his deepest apology to former Big Bang member:

The interrogation took over 12 hours and I just wanted it to be over as quickly as possible. I realized I shouldn’t have made those (gangster) assumptions after it was over and I regretted it deeply. I didn’t check the record thoroughly at the time because I wanted the interrogation to finish quickly. I’m sorry this all happened to the defendant (Seungri).
