Choi Ji-woo Leaves YG After 10 Years, Signs Contract with Studio Santa Claus

According to an exclusive report by Star News on Feb 6th, it has been confirmed that Choi Ji-woo recently left YG Entertainment and signed an exclusive contract with Studio Santa Claus.

Choi Ji-woo, who first joined YG in February 2014, renewed her contract in February 2016. At that time, Choi Ji-woo said, “Once I make a connection, it tends to last long. The stylists I work with have been with me for 20 years, and the managers have also been working with me for over 10 years each. I heard a lot of praise from people around me after joining YG. I want to continue working together steadily to better fit each other’s images in the future.”

Having faithfully been with YG for a total of 10 years until February of this year, Choi Ji-woo now embarks on a new journey with Studio Santa Claus after bidding farewell to YG.

Studio Santa Claus, founded in 2005, is a comprehensive entertainment company based on managing various actor contents, producing films, dramas, OSTs, and more. Currently, the studio represents Kim Hye-ok, Lee Woo-jae, Kim So-hyun, Jeon Young-chan, Oh Min-soo, Ahn Eun-ho, and others.

Choi Ji-woo married a non-celebrity 9 years her junior in 2018 and welcomed a daughter in 2020. Last November, she made a comeback to the screen with “New Normal” after about 7 years since the film “Like for Likes.”
