“W: Two Worlds”, a famous K-drama starring Lee Jong Suk and Han Hyo Joo, has been remade in China, only to be drowned in bad reviews

After the Chinese remake of “W: Two Worlds”, which stars Zhao Yaoke and Brian Chang, was aired, various fans have left scathing comments.

Next Stop, Your world

In particular, the Chinese adaptation simply cannot live up to the original K-drama, which features Lee Jong Suk and Han Hyo Joo, said disappointed netizens.

According to them, the female lead, played by Zhao Yaoke, was not as eye-catching as Han Hye Joo, although she boasts decent acting skills. Meanwhile, Brian Chang was miles apart from Lee Jong Suk, with stiff expressions and low immersion in his character, said netizens.

Below are some comments from netizens:

  • The male lead simply won’t move his facial muscles
  • Cast lineup don’t seem to fit the characters at all
  • How come we go from Lee Jong Suk and Han Hyo Joo’s casting to this?
  • There just seems to be a severe lack of chemistry in this remake
  • The female lead is doing a great job! But the male lead is not clicking at all.
  • They tried to style Brian Chang similar to Lee Jong Suk, but it is not working
