Chinese Media Spreads Outrageous Fake News Targeting Kwon Eunbi’s Appearance

Once again, Chinese media has crossed the line with fake news attacking a Korean celebrity.

On August 27th, Chinese entertainment reported, “Kwon Eunbi is gaining attention throughout Asia for her angelic face and figure. However, just as the saying goes, ‘When people become famous, they attract trouble,’ Kwon Eunbi’s middle school graduation photo was released as she gained popularity.”

They continued, “At that time, Kwon Eunbi had a wide face, monolid eyes, and a flat nose, making it impossible to see her beauty. Even compared to photos from her debut in 2014, her facial features have changed significantly, leaving her unable to escape plastic surgery allegations.”

Kwon Eunbi debuted in 2018 as a member of IZ*ONE through Mnet’s survival show ‘Produce 48,’ receiving lots of love from fans. In 2021, she made her debut as a soloist.

Recently, she went viral for her sexy presence at the Waterbomb Festival and gained tremendous popularity with her October release ‘Underwater,’ getting dubbed the ‘Goddess of Waterbomb.’

However, it seems that the Chinese media is targeting Kwon Eunbi’s popularity, raising plastic surgery suspicions out of the blue.

This isn’t the first time China’s fake news has harmed Korean celebrities. DJ Koo Jun Yup constantly struggled with rumors of infidelity, divorce, and drug use after marrying Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu. Recently, former WJSN member Cheng Xiao was also caught up in rumors of an affair and childbirth with actor Tony Leung.
