Cherry Bullet Chaerin appeared as the younger version of Kim Hye Soo in “Under the Queen’s Umbrella”

Chaerin of the girl group Cherry Bullet challenged acting by playing the younger version of actress Kim Hye Soo in the tvn drama “Under the Queen’s Umbrella”.

Chaerin, who is a member of girl group Cherry Bullet, played the 20-year-old version of female lead Hwa Ryeong in the K-drama “Under the Queen’s Umbrella”. 

In particular, episode 6 of “Under the Queen’s Umbrella”, which aired on October 30th, showed the deepening conflict between Queen Hwa Ryeong (Kim Hye Soo) and the Queen Dowager (Kim Hae Sook). 

At this time, Hwa Ryeong’s past recollection scene appeared. Here,  the 20 year-old Hwa Ryeong can be seen running toward Queen Yoon (Seo Yi Sook) 20 years ago and acting friendly towards her. 

It is said that Chaerin put a delicate effort into expression, tone, and gesture to express this scene.

An official also commented, “Wearing the crown princess attire, she portrayed the crown princess’ elegant appearance with a neat figure and kind yet strong eyes.”

“Under the Queen’s Umbrella” is a historical drama which reflects the struggle of a queen who try to enforce royal education for her troubled princes. The series air every Saturday and Sunday at 9:10 pm (KST).
