On the March 22 broadcast of MBC’s The Secret Friends Club, Cha Tae Hyun asked his daughter for help during the show.
At the time, Cha Tae Hyun needed to deliver a gift to Kang Hoon, his assigned “manitto.” He called his second daughter Taeeun, who was at home, asking her to step in and deliver the gift on his behalf.
Responding to her father’s SOS, Taeeun appeared on screen looking all grown up. She had previously gained attention for her adorable visuals when she appeared on KBS 2TV’s 2 Days & 1 Night. Now, her latest appearance as a “monolid beauty” has caught viewers’ eyes.
Taeeun quickly realized that her father had called her without much of a plan and said, “Huh? You really just brought me here? I kind of expected this. There’s no reason you’d call me otherwise.” She added humorously, “Are you making me do this because you’d get caught if you did it yourself? If this fails, it’s not my fault.”
Cha Tae Hyun replied jokingly, “It doesn’t matter if it fails because they don’t know you. If you get caught, we don’t know each other. Just take the bus or something and go,” to which Taeeun fired back, “I’m telling mom everything. You dragged your just-woken-up daughter out and told her to run away by bus,” making everyone laugh.
Later, Taeeun successfully managed to “throw” the gift to Kang Hoon without being noticed. Kang Hoon, confused, said, “Was that a woman? Who was that?” mistakenly thinking his manitto was female. Taeeun proudly joked, “Dad, you really raised your daughter well,” drawing laughter.
Taeeun’s previous appearance on 2 Days & 1 Night dates back to 2016, making it a full decade ago. Born in 2011, she is now a middle school student, and viewers reacted with comments such as, “Is that the same Taeeun from 2 Days & 1 Night? She still has the same face,” “She’s grown so much,” and “She’s so pretty now.”
Meanwhile, Cha Tae Hyun is married to a non-celebrity and has one son and two daughters.
