CEO Ahn Sung Il releases stance regarding FIFTY FIFTY controversy, “People are witch-hunting me”

The Givers CEO Ahn Sung Il, who was blamed for causing FIFTY FIFTY controversy, expressed his unfairness.

On July 11th, entertainment reporter-turned-Youtuber Lee Jin Ho revealed the statement CEO Ahn Sung Il sent him. Ahn said, “I don’t understand why Attrakt CEO Jeon Hong Joon is so convinced that I’m a third-party external force”, adding “I intuitively thought that our team communicated with each other the most”.

He explained, “As you know, the biggest problem is that FIFTY FIFTY members want to know the exact details of settlements”.

Lee Jin Ho then asked, “Are you still in contact with the members? Or did you persuade the kids (FIFTY FIFTY) in the process of them applying for an exclusive contract suspension?”. In response, CEO Ahn said, “I contacted them to discuss the filming of ‘Barbie Dreams’ music video. I told them, ‘Reaching a smooth agreement comes first’.”

Revealing CEO Ahn’s position, Lee Jin Ho commented, “I wanted to hear more in-depth stories, but he seemed to be careful with his words due to the ongoing lawsuit. However, CEO Ahn emphasized, ‘People are still witch-hunting me based on unilateral claims. Please look at the issue with balanced manners based on facts”.

Meanwhile, on July 5th, Seoul Central District Court’s Civil Division 50 held the first hearing for the injunction to suspend the exclusive contract filed by FIFTY FIFTY against their agency Attrakt, claiming that Attrakt violated their obligations to provide settlement data, failed to fulfill physical & mental health management duties, and lacked the ability to support the group’s entertainment activities.

On the other hand, Attrakt argued that they poured all money, including CEO Jeon’s assets and money from his late mother, for FIFTY FIFTY. The agency emphasized that 8 billion won is not a small investment and refuted accusations, saying the claim that Attrakt lacks ability despite making such a big investment in the group is excessive.

On the 7th, Attrakt filed an additional criminal complaint against The Givers, saying “We discovered that The Givers embezzled money while organizing transfer documents without prior consultation with us. After verifying the service contract company, we confirmed that The Givers had forged service contracts and embezzled funds.”
