A shocking new report by SBS News has alleged that a sexual assault case involving a celebrity was dropped following alleged interference by religious shaman Geonjin Beopsa (real name Jeon Seong Bae).
According to testimony from an aide identified as A, conversations between Geonjin and Prosecutor B were overheard in which the celebrity case was directly mentioned. When the prosecutor suggested moving forward with prosecution, Geonjin allegedly replied: “What if I say not to prosecute?”
Prosecutor B reportedly answered: “If you say not to, I won’t.” Police had initially recommended prosecution in 2017, but the case was officially dropped in early 2018.

Neither idol has been officially linked to Geonjin Beopsa or to the current investigation. However, online discussions repeatedly referenced their names, initials, and cases, fueling widespread debate.
Prosecutor B has admitted to visiting Geonjin’s temple but denied discussing any celebrity-related case. Meanwhile, the representatives of the celebrity speculated to be involved have denied any connection to Geonjin.
