In 2016, the actress appeared on KBS 2TV’s entertainment program “A Look At Myself” and hit Jo Young-nam, a singer-songwriter of her grandfather’s age, on the cheek, which gave rise to her famous nickname “Jo Young-nam’s slap girl.” At that time, the entertainment program aired a scene where Jo Young-nam ran a “viewer counseling center” where he listened to citizens’ concerns with a hidden camera.

Seol In-ah told Cho Young-nam her concern, “I’m worried about continuing to fail from auditions,” acting as an aspiring actress and Cho Young-nam’s acting partner in a situational play.

Seol In-ah recalled the trainee years and said, “I have never thought of the three years and nine months of my trainee life as wasted time. Not for becoming an actress, but these are the times that helped me in my life. I got used to it early in life, so I was really quick-witted, and I was able to learn singing, dancing, and acting, which helps [as an actress].”
