BTS’s Jungkook Takes Over New York Streets with Surprise Guerrilla Concert

In just 30 minutes, BTS’s Jungkook filled the streets of New York with ARMYs

On November 3rd, Jungkook released his first solo album, ‘GOLDEN.’ Having been actively promoting in the United States, Jungkook officially announced on Twitter on November 8th (local time), “I will have a surprise event in New York tomorrow (November 9th).”

With only hints of the date and New York, fans were left curious about where and when the event would take place.

Later, at 5 PM on November 9th, Jungkook surprised everyone by announcing, “I will hold a guerrilla concert in Times Square in 30 minutes.”

Despite the last-minute announcement, Times Square was filled with ARMYs before the concert, causing the area to be crowded.

The popularity of BTS in the United States exceeded expectations, with the crowd reaching a point where the streets were practically paralyzed.

On the Times Square billboard, Jungkook’s Calvin Klein ad was displayed. Thirty minutes later, Jungkook appeared under the billboard at ‘TSX STAGE.’

A large screen was set up so that countless fans could see Jungkook. Jungkook delivered perfect live performances of his songs ‘Yes or No,’ ‘SEVEN,’ ‘3D,’ among others. The live performance was flawless, unaffected by the intense choreography.

Jungkook confidently and casually performed five songs live, receiving huge cheers from American fans.

In response to the chorus of American ARMYs chanting, Jungkook expressed his happiness, shouting, “New York, you’re crazy!”

Upon the public revelation of Jungkook’s guerrilla concert, Korean fans also showed enthusiastic reactions. Korean netizens left comments praising Jungkook such as “Jungkook is our pride,” “The man who can fill the streets of New York in 30 minutes,” “He’s a real superstar,” “This is world-class,” “His live skills are getting better and better,” “Proud,” “I can’t believe the 30-minute notice,” “Even though it’s not in Korea, it’s amazing to see such a crowd in the U.S.,” “Proud to be a fellow Korean.”
