In a new song introduction video commemorating the release of his second single “3D” on Sep 29th, BTS’s Jungkook expressed his determination to continue working hard and practicing diligently. He also extended his gratitude for the love his previous work “Seven” received and his eagerness to return quickly due to the immense support.
“3D” is a striking R&B pop song known for its impressive rhythm and captivating repetitive sound, carrying a message about transcending the first and second dimensions, meeting “you” in the third dimension and always being together as “us”.
While Jungkook reinterpreted the 2-step genre of the early 2000s in his previous work “Seven”, “3D” draws inspiration from the mid-2000s hip-hop and dance trends, resulting in an old-school style sound that showcases his unique color.
Jungkook introduced “3D” as a song that captivates listeners’ ears from beginning to end and emphasized its appeal as a performance-oriented track. He encouraged fans to pay attention to the choreography and expressed hope that many would enjoy it, even on short-form platforms.
He also called for expectations about the change in his style with “3D”.
Jungkook’s new song “3D” features rapper Jack Harlow, who reached the number one spot on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart. Jack Harlow also appeared in the music video.
The production of the song involved notable producers like BloodPop, known for working with Lady Gaga and Beyoncé, and David Stewart, who contributed to BTS’s hit song “Dynamite”.
Jungkook expressed his appreciation for Jack Harlow’s collaboration, stating that he had admired the artist for a long time and found the collaboration enjoyable. He also noted how well Jack Harlow’s voice complemented “3D”, enhancing the song’s sexy vibe.
