On January 17, Jungkook published the short message, “Unity,” through BTS’s official Weverse.
On this day, Jungkook, along with fellow BTS member Jimin, attended the completion ceremony of basic military training at the 5th Infantry Division’s boot camp. Having completed the basic military training, both of them are scheduled to continue their military service for 1 year and 5 months as part of the 5th Infantry Division.
Particularly, since BTS’s eldest member, Jin, is serving as an instructor in the 5th Division, there is much attention on the reunion of BTS members in the military.
On the other hand, Jimin and Jungkook enlisted together as active-duty soldiers on December 12 last year, and are expected to be discharged on June 11, 2025.
RM and V, who enlisted a day earlier than them, also completed their basic military training on the 16th. RM and V also garnered attention by sharing their recent status on their respective Instagram accounts after completing their training.
