BTS’s J-Hope became special forces soldier “I’m as proud of my military service as I am of my activities with BTS”

BTS’s J-Hope (real name Jung Ho-seok) became a special forces soldier

On October 6th, J-Hope communicated with fans through the fan communication platform Weverse, saying, “ARMY (BTS’s official fandom name), how have you all been? The weather has gotten much colder! Maybe because of the cold air, it’s a moment when I realize that time is passing by. I’m excited, my shoulders are getting heavier, and I’m becoming more reverential.”

J-Hope enlisted as an active-duty soldier at Division 36 of Baekho Recruit Training Center in Wonju-si, Gangwon-do on April 18th. He is currently serving as an assistant instructor at Baekho Recruit Training Center.

J-Hope talked about his military life, “I adapted faster than I thought and I’m working hard. But it’s also a big responsibility because I have to help and lead young people taking their first steps in the military organization. Still, I’m as proud of my military service as I am of my activities with BTS.

He added, “I became a special forces soldier. I did my best, and good results followed. I’m doing very well, becoming even more mature. Always stay healthy, don’t get sick, and be careful of catching a cold. Our ARMY!

J-Hope garnered attention for his quiet philanthropy even before enlisting. In August, it was revealed that he had supported the renovation of an animal shelter through his mother since February last year.

A, who runs the animal shelter, confessed, “In February last year, a madam saw my blog shelter post and inquired about sponsorship. She turned out to be J-Hope’s mother. It’s been almost 2 years (since J-Hope started sponsoring). I contacted J-Hope’s mother for the first time in a while and after a long period of persuasion, she agreed to announce the sponsorship. I hope many people will show interest in abandoned animals.

J-Hope also donated to various charitable causes, including supporting children from low-income families, providing treatment expenses for sick children, and assisting in efforts to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.
