BTS V revealed a secret story while preparing a solo album with Min Hee-jin.
Amidst preparations for his solo album under the guidance of chief producer ADOR Min Hee-jin, BTS member V has unveiled a behind-the-scenes story. With high expectations surrounding this unprecedented collaboration, the behind-the-scenes process of V’s preparations has also become a hot topic.
On the 11th, V did a live broadcast through the official fan platform to interact with fans. As the final member of BTS to make a solo debut, V’s intention was to directly share the news with his fans and provide insights into his preparation journey.
During the broadcast, V particularly mentioned his work with Min Hee-jin, the chief producer behind the creation of NewJeans. He drew attention by stating, “The working process this time was truly unique. It was incredibly natural,” and expressed his anticipation, adding, “She captured the mood I really like very well.”
Regarding his collaboration with producer Min Hee-jin, V said, “I don’t call Min Hee-jin representative, I call her ‘noona’. Min Hee-jin noona said, ‘Taehyung, do you have time tomorrow? Come out for a moment.’ So, I went out, and as soon as I got there, she said, ‘Taehyung, stand here,’ and took a photo. It was the first time in my life. I was surprised. As soon as I got there, without any preparation, it was really just that natural. We worked joyfully.”
Although it was V’s first experience with such a process, he worked naturally and joyfully as guided by producer Min Hee-jin. V stated, “I didn’t think it was a photoshoot, I came out for a picnic, to see things around, and all of a sudden, photos were taken.” He believed that the naturally captured photos were good, and he expressed that ARMY would also like them, heightening expectations.
The collaboration between V and producer Min Hee-jin had already raised expectations, as it was a combination that garnered attention from the start. It was a collaboration between V and the producer behind the birth of the new K-pop genre “NewJeans.” Min Hee-jin explained, “There was a music style that I wanted to propose to V. Based on that, I created the current tracklist considering his vocal tone and style. Our opinions aligned instantly. V’s vocals and visuals, which are simple yet touching, will leave an impression.”
