A strange and unsettling incident involving BTS’s V has taken the internet by surprise, leaving both fans and netizens utterly bewildered.

Recently, a post circulated on the Korean online forum Instiz claiming that a netizen had reported V to the Mexican ambassador accusing him of “bullying” fellow member Jimin. The reason behind the accusation was V’s alleged social media behavior, which the accuser interpreted in an extraordinary way.

According to the post, the netizen compiled what they considered “evidence” that V was targeting Jimin. The “proof” allegedly came from V’s online interactions particularly his tendency to reply or engage with accounts using tiger and bunny emojis in their usernames.

These emojis are often associated with the “Taekook” pairing a nickname fans use for V and Jungkook. The accuser bizarrely claimed that this pattern of interaction was “inciting negativity toward Jimin” and therefore constituted a form of bullying.

Unsurprisingly, this interpretation was met with widespread disbelief. Fans pointed out that emojis and fan nicknames are common in fan culture, and that such claims were entirely unfounded.

The controversy escalated when the same netizen reportedly compiled the so-called evidence into a USB flash drive and took it to an official event attended by both the Korean ambassador to Mexico and a HYBE Mexico staff member.

The event, titled “Proyecto Industrias Creativas de Corea: Lecciones para América Latina”, was meant to promote cultural collaboration between Korea and Latin America. However, according to photos shared by the original poster, the individual allegedly handed over the USB directly to the officials in attendance.

This shocking claim left fans questioning not only the validity of the report but also how someone managed to attend a diplomatic event and personally deliver such materials to foreign and corporate representatives.

The incident quickly went viral, sparking a wave of disbelief and criticism on Korean community sites. Many netizens described the situation as both absurd and alarming, criticizing the fan’s extreme behavior.

  • They’re out of their minds. Fans, seriously, just stop.
  • How crazy do you have to be to actually go all the way to the embassy and do something like that?
  • It’s shocking that someone could hand over that USB in person and even brag about it online afterward.

Several users also questioned how such an individual was allowed to approach officials without being stopped especially since HYBE Mexico representatives were reportedly present at the event.

As of now, neither HYBE nor any BTS member’s representatives have responded to the bizarre allegations. However, fans have largely dismissed the claims as the work of an “akgae” fan a toxic type of solo fan known for spreading hostility toward other members of a group.

Many have expressed concern about how far some individuals are willing to go, urging fandom communities to take mental health and boundaries more seriously.

One fan summed up the general sentiment succinctly: “It’s not bullying it’s delusion taken too far.”
