According to multiple U.S. media outlets including People, NBC, CBS, and the San Francisco Chronicle, a pizza restaurant in Redwood City experienced a sudden surge of customers after V praised its food during BTS’s concert at Stanford Stadium.
During the group’s May 16 performance, V casually mentioned the pizza while speaking to fans during the ending ment.

“It’s my first time in Stanford, and the pizza was really delicious. I think this place is the best,” the BTS member told the crowd.
He then jokingly added, “I heard Stanford University is famous. Can I attend too?” — drawing loud cheers and laughter from fans.
Although V never directly named the restaurant, fans quickly investigated and identified the location as Vesta, a popular pizza restaurant in Redwood City.
Soon afterward, ARMYs reportedly began visiting the restaurant in large numbers, creating an unexpected business boom for the establishment.
Vesta co-owner Courtney Bohn later revealed in an interview that the restaurant experienced “the busiest Monday ever” following V’s comments.

She also expressed gratitude toward BTS and fans, saying the team felt honored that the group enjoyed their food.
The story quickly spread across American media, with outlets highlighting how a single comment from V dramatically increased attention toward the local business.
BTS held three sold-out concerts at Stanford Stadium on May 16, 17, and 19 as part of their Arirang world tour, performing for approximately 150,000 fans across the shows.

Known for frequently referencing local culture, food, and landmarks during concerts, V has built a reputation for creating warm and personal connections with audiences in each tour city.
For many fans, his pizza comment was more than a casual food review — it became another example of the BTS member’s ability to turn ordinary local experiences into global viral moments.
