On the same day, the official Twitter account of Korean platform Melon posted a notice saying, “The live video of BTS’s 10th anniversary commemorative fan song ‘TAKE TWO’ was released on Melon today at 6:13 PM, 13th June 2013, marking the debut of BTS.”
Along with that, a short video of about 14 seconds was released, capturing the long-awaited full group appearance of BTS. Along with the fan song melody, RM expressed his affection by saying, “I missed you, ARMY (fandom of BTS).”
As a result, fans of BTS expressed their passion, leading to over 450,000 related tweets and BTS trending on Twitter’s real-time trends.
Meanwhile, previously on June 9th, BTS released a digital single called “Take Two” to commemorate their 10th debut anniversary. “Take Two” conveys BTS’ gratitude towards their fan club. ARMY, who have been together with the group through shining moments for 10 years.
On the same day, the leader of BTS, RM, left a lengthy message on Weverse, expressing his thoughts on the 10th anniversary and to fans. In particular, the male idol said, “We’ve been through countless ups and downs”, adding, “Until a noun becomes a pronoun. There were stormy days and also love in the process of BTS becoming BTS and ARMY becoming ARMY. We’ve built our own world that nobody else can understand”.
He also continued by calling BTS “still very immature” and wrote, “We will probably feel unfamiliar, anxious, and painful in the future, but we will continue to move on. As individuals or together, far or close from each other, we hope to have you by our side and you to have us accompanying. Let’s live well together for the next 10 years”
Meanwhile, the “2023 BTS 10th Anniversary Festa @ Yeouido” will be held on the 17th at Yeouido Hangang Park. Here, at 5PM (KST), RM will make a personal appearance at the “ARMY Lounge” set up inside the event venue and have a special session with fans.
