BTS to hold their global concert in Busan this October free of charge

Boy group BTS, which is having a group activity hiatus, is expected to reunite as a whole group on the stage for the first time this autumn.

On July 6th, the Kookje Newspaper reported that BTS would hold the “2030 Busan Expo Concert” in mid-October.

According to the report, BTS’s agency HYBE, Busan City, and the EXPO Bid Committee are discussing the venue and date of the concert.

3 options, including Busan Asiad Main Stadium, Samnak Ecological Park and Bukhang Port, are being considered as the venues of the EXPO event.  

A ticket to BTS’s concert normally costs hundreds of thousands of won but the Busan EXPO concert this time will be held free of charge.

HYBE reportedly agreed to hold the Busan EXPO concert as a free concert at the wish of the people. The concert is expected to be joined by 100,000 audiences.

The Busan Metropolitan Government expects to welcome 100,000 fans to visit Busan in a short period of time for BTS’s concert. 

Accordingly, they are also considering providing convenience by expanding transportation, such as flights and trains coming to Busan.

In fact, Busan is the hometown of two BTS members, Jimin and Jungkook.

BTS members, who have special love for Busan, plan to attend the on-site inspection and general presentation of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) to be held early next year  Busan EXPO ambassadors to help attract BIE members.
