BTS Suga (Agust D) is drawing attention for answering questions related to performing in China.
On June 14th, a video of Suga answering about “China tour” through Weverse on June 11th was uploaded on various online communities.
Suga looked somewhat awkward while saying, “China tour? I can’t perform in China, so how can I do a China tour?“
He asked back “Are there any Korean singers performing in China right now?” then added, “I don’t think so.“
However, as some fans’ requests continued despite such an answer, Suga explained, “I can’t perform in China, everyone. No, I’ve seen cases like that. In many K-pop groups these days, there may be Korean members, Chinese members and members from other countries. Members of other nationalities can work in China, but the teams themselves can’t work in China.“
Suga emphasized, “Well, anyway. I don’t know why. I want to perform (in China), too. I want to go and perform wherever there are ARMYs.”
He added, “I also feel so bad. Anyway, I want to do a China tour. I really want to go because I haven’t been to China for a long time, but there’s no way a Korean singer can work there.”
