BTS RM attends appointment ceremony as promotional ambassador for Remains Excavation Inspection Team

RM expressed his thoughts on being appointed as a PR ambassador for the Ministry of National Defense’s Remains Excavation Inspection Team.

On June 1st, the appointment ceremony for the 2023 Ministry of National Defense’s Remains Excavation Inspection Team Ambassador’ was held at the National Seoul Cemetary in Dongjak-gu, Seoul.


RM attended the ceremony as the promotional ambassador wearing a nice black suit and having his forehead exposed.

The leader of BTS aroused keen attention with his speech as a newly appointed ambassador.

Showing his excitement, RM said, “It is truly my great honor to be able to serve as a promotional ambassador for the Remains Excavation Inspection Team together with many exceptional people.”


In addition, he shared, “This year marks the 10th anniversary of BTS’s debut. Over the past 10 years, we have delivered various messages through our songs and campaigns”, adding “I have thought a lot about how to return the love we have received from our Korean fans and Korean people.”

He continued, “To be honest, I believe that I and BTS can be in this position in 2023 thanks to the efforts and sacrifices of countless individuals who worked hard in their respective positions so that our nation, which was once devastated by events like the Korean War, has now prospered so beautifully. Therefore, I want to show my infinite gratitude and respect to all of them.”


RM also revealed the reason he decided to engage in activities as the promotional ambassador for the Remains Excavation Inspection Team. He stated, “The activities of the Remains Excavation Inspection Team, which conveys the message of unity and healing to everyone beyond conflicts and disputes, are the same with what BTS has aimed for. That’s why I decided to participate in this meaningful activity with a sense of duty.”


RM also shared, “Through the excavation of remains, I want to show my respect to those who sacrificed their lives to protect our country. I feel the pride and heavy responsibility to pay the utmost respect to them”, adding “I fully sympathize with the institution’s purpose, which implies that ‘the nation takes full responsibility for those who sacrificed themselves for the country to the end’. Since this is a project of great national importance, I will sincerely try hard to promote the meaningful activities of the Remains Excavation Inspection Team both domestically and internationally.”


Lastly, he expressed gratitude, saying, “I am proud to join many people who are here today and contribute to this meaningful work. I will work diligently to make every small contribution to the Remains Excavation Inspection Team.”

Meanwhile, RM has been spreading his good influence by speaking out on various social issues, such as racism and violence.
