On March 21 at 8 PM KST, BTS’s fifth full-length album comeback show ARIRANG was streamed globally via Netflix. While the performance itself proceeded smoothly without major incidents, many viewers watching from home expressed frustration over the poor subtitle timing.

According to viewers, subtitles appeared 1–2 seconds late, often displaying lyrics that had already been sung.

While fans acknowledged that real-time conversations during the show could naturally cause delays in subtitles, many pointed out that the setlist and lyrics were pre-prepared, making the issue harder to understand.

“The subtitles come out after the part is already finished,” some viewers complained, noting that it disrupted immersion while watching the performance.

As a result, some audiences reportedly chose to turn off subtitles entirely to enjoy the show more comfortably.

Meanwhile, BTS’s comeback marked their first full-group performance in over three years, following “Yet to Come in Busan” in October 2022.

Their new album ARIRANG also achieved massive success, selling 3.98 million copies on its first day, further proving the group’s global influence despite the technical issues surrounding the broadcast.
