BTS created massive excitement in Mexico City after meeting Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum at the presidential palace.
On May 7 KST, BTS members RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook visited the presidential palace at the invitation of President Sheinbaum.
Following a brief meeting with the president, the members appeared on the presidential office balcony to greet thousands of fans gathered at Zócalo. The area surrounding central Mexico City reportedly became packed with fans eager to see the global superstars.

V greeted the crowd in Spanish on behalf of the group, while Jungkook and other members also shared short messages with fans.
Meanwhile, Jimin and SUGA uploaded photos and videos of the enormous crowd to their personal social media accounts, thanking fans for the warm welcome.
Earlier this year, President Sheinbaum had already expressed excitement over BTS’s scheduled concerts in Mexico City, calling the event a “historic moment.” She reportedly even requested additional concert dates due to overwhelming demand.

After meeting the group, President Sheinbaum posted photos with BTS on social media alongside a welcoming message.
“We are delighted to welcome one of the most beloved groups among Mexico’s younger generation. Their music and values connect Mexico and Korea,” she wrote.
BTS is currently set to hold their BTS World Tour ARIRANG concerts at Estadio GNP Seguros on May 7, 9, and 10. All tickets reportedly sold out immediately after sales opened.
