BTS has been honored with a presidential commendation at the 5th Good Donation Awards, becoming the first Korean artists to receive this recognition for their global humanitarian efforts.
The award acknowledges BTS’s long-running “Love Myself” campaign an initiative launched in 2017 in partnership with the UNICEF Korea Committee. The project focuses on promoting self-love, preventing violence against children and teens, and offering psychological support in 155 countries and regions.

According to the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, the Good Donation Awards have been held since 2021 to recognize individuals and groups who inspire society through impactful acts of giving and community service. This year, BTS was selected for their sustained global influence and commitment to youth protection through meaningful philanthropy.
In a statement included in the broadcast, BTS expressed gratitude for the honor, saying they aim to remain a group that “continues to contribute to warm and healthy change.”
The group’s campaign has been praised both domestically and internationally for raising awareness about violence, mental health, and self-worth among young people worldwide. The commendation adds to their history of social impact including their earlier speeches at the United Nations General Assembly and their ongoing charitable partnerships.
