BTS Jungkook’s ‘Euphoria’ Surpasses 500 Million Streams on Spotify, Showcasing Massive Global Popularity
Released in August 2018, Jungkook’s ‘Euphoria’ recently surpassed 500 million streams on Spotify.
Despite being close to its 5th anniversary since its release, BTS Jungkook’s solo song ‘Euphoria’ continues to record over 400,000 daily streams.
The ‘World Music Awards’ (WMA), also known as the ‘Billboard of Europe,’ officially recognized the news of ‘Euphoria’ surpassing 500 million streams, highlighting that it achieved the highest streams among BTS members’ solo songs.
‘Euphoria’ set a record on Billboard’s ‘World Digital Song Sales’ chart as the first and longest-charting K-pop idol solo song, staying on the chart for 92 weeks.
Moreover, in the United States, ‘Euphoria’ became the first Korean male idol solo song to sell over 500,000 units and received platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for surpassing one million sales in April.
‘Euphoria’ secured the 26th spot on Billboard’s ‘BTS 60 Best Songs’ list and ranked 23rd on ‘Rolling Stone’s’ list of ‘The 100 Best BTS Songs’ selected last year.
On Jungkook’s official Spotify account, which was opened in 2022, the ‘2022 Qatar World Cup’ soundtrack ‘Dreamers’ records over 320 million streams, while his recently released solo single ‘Seven’ has achieved over 110 million streams, the collab song ‘Left and Right’ with Charlie Puth surpasses 710 million streams, and his self-composed song ‘Still With You’ records over 36 million streams.
Additionally, Jungkook’s Spotify account achieved 1.1 billion streams in just 453 days, making him the fastest K-pop solo artist to reach this milestone. He also became the fastest Asian solo artist to surpass 7.8 million followers on the platform, demonstrating his unparalleled popularity.
Furthermore, in Spotify’s year-end rankings for ‘Top K-pop Artists of 2022,’ Jungkook claimed the top spot as the most-streamed K-pop solo artist, solidifying his presence as a global sensation in the music industry.
